The Maidenhead Pool League has been running, in one form or another, in the town since the 1970's and has been organising a permanent Winter League since the early 90's. In addition the MPL organises a shorter Summer League. The league members include teams from pubs and social clubs in Maidenhead and the surrounding area.
League matches are played on Monday nights and are refereed to world 8-ball pool rules. There are two seasons per year with the winter season having additional Cup, Plate, Single and Doubles competitions.
The FORESTERS B TEAM have unfortunately had to fold their team – All results have now been removed.
Teams can now play with 5 players with one person being able to play twice in a half. The same player can’t play twice in each half.
The maximum frames 1 player can play is 3, so if you only have 5 players 2 players can play 3 frames and the remaining 3 players play twice.
There is no stipulation on where these can be played so a player can play frames two consecutive frames if they so wish.
The minimum players per team is now reduced to 3 which would result in that team forfeiting 4 frames.
A team with only 4 players will now only forfeit 2 frames.
